About the Artist

Although I grew up in Cape May, New Jersey, Florida has been my home now for over 13 years.

I have always drawn, it's what I like to do the most. Usually one of my graphite drawings take over 20 hours to do. The drawings with colored pencil take considerably longer to finish and the pen & ink pointalisim take even longer (up to 300+ hours).

I don't have any formal art training. I took advanced art in high school, but have no college experience. We were encouraged in high school art classes to draw pictures from magazines. It was then that I realized that I had a knack for faces, especially faces from pictures. I then branched out into doing pencil portraits from photos (those were the first pieces of art I made money from). These days I do mostly celtic designs. I really enjoy them.

After high school I started dabbling in just about every medium. I tried painting, which on canvas as it turns out, I am not very good at. However, I did convince a friend of mine's parents to let me try a mural on one of the walls in their house (pretty trusting of them if you ask me, as I'd never painted a mural before).

I also enjoy photography. I started out taking reference photos, then did some head shots for a friend. That blossomed into head shots for other people, to engagement photos and then to weddings.

I taught myself some basic web design and programming in order to create an online portfolio and have since designed many other sites. I design all my web sites with Macromedia Dreamweaver and Photoshop.
